Spider Guard Sweep

From 95 Guard. Feet on opponents hips/ thighs, sleeve control. Shrimp, top leg into spider guard, release sleeve from bottom hand and scoot to close the gap. If opponent stands: put de la rica hook in and pull, the same time pulling with the spider guard to sweep. If opponent doesn't stand place shin on hip to close gap and sweep with spider guard.

BJJ Journal

Breaking the guard - 2 on 1 Russian tie. Control opponent with 2 on 1 at his elbow and wrist, and pin him to the ground with it. While driving into him, walk him all the way up to top of his back, and get your hips under his. Move from 2-1 to double cliff hanger, then lift opponent off the ground. Break the guard by stepping back and pushing the knee out. Pinch one of the opponents legs, the side you want to pass. Let go of the arm and move to same side collar. Side hop, forehead driving into sternum and back step over into side control.

"The Flats"

Late season deer. "The Flats" a plateau over looking a lake. A square patch of doug firs bordered a meadow with young reprod. On the edge of the meadow in the timber, i encountered 21 deer in 5 days (3 bucks). "Mount Sinaloa" - Big bruiser track in the snow, trail led from saddle to clear cut. I think this was the buck that made those two rub lines. 2 mikes off the trail in the Sinaloa mountains, I hung a tree stand and trail cam for next season. I'm hoping to find a monster buck or bull somewhere in the dark timber.
